Lemon (Citrus limon) has a strong, purifying, citrus scent that is revitalizing and uplifting. Lemon may also be used to enhance the flavor of foods. Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rinds of lemons. Jean Valnet MD estimated that it takes 3,000 lemons to produce one kilo of oil.
Lemon is great to use for cleaning.
- Add a drop to baking soda for a bathtub or sink scrub
- Add 10-15 drops to 3 cups distilled water plus 1 cup white vinegar for a non-toxic window cleaner.
- Add a drop to your non-toxic dishwashing detergent for extra degreasing power.
